Chromis fighting each other?

    so i was just watching my chromis and two of them were tail butting each other and almost like locking lips, is this how they fight?

    They're just establishing a pecking order. They will likely stop in a day or two.

    Mine did this for 4 days, just make sure if one is getting beat up bad, quarantine him for a day.

    unfortuantly no quarantine, but the fighitng doesnt look to bad

    When I first set up my current 90g, I bought 4 Chromies to have that "schooling" effect. Well, needless to say, only one was left after one week of the "pecking order". I hope your results are not the same as mine.

    chromis will sometime fight to the death with themselves. noone knows why exactly but there are some success storys :)

    With Chromis, always go with odd numbers and add them all at the same time. 1,3,5,7 and so on.
