I bought three Green Chromis last week and only one comes out (the smallest one). The other two just hide in the back and I haven't seen them eat when I feed the fish. I haven't seen any of the other fish attack them. The smallest one gets along fine and eats a lot too.

    What should I do?

Dude, don't sweat it. They'll probably stay back there for another couple of days and come out. When they get hungry, they will venture into the open to eat. They need to acclimate not only to new surroundings but new neighbors. I would just leave them alone. You'll have your school of chromis' soon enough.

Sweet fish to have. They are a bit on the "sensitive side". Started with 5 about a year ago. I currently have 2. Very colorful/active.

I have 3 chromis. They hid for the first week. I had four, but the 4th was smaller, and I watched the others keep him from his food! He didn't make it. Now the three seem to happily school. They are sensitive. Changes make them dis-color easily, (stress) and they'll hide. When things calm down, they go right back to schooling. They are fun. I call them Hick, ****-(the one who harrassed the 4th one the most) and Doc.
    Sorry,didn't realize that name was a no-no!

The two still haven't come out, they just sit in the rocks in the very bottom back of the tank. The smallest one is having a ball just swimming everywhere and hanging out with the Clown. Still haven't seen them eat, but they must be eating something.

I would get a few more of them - they seem to do best in a school of 6 or more. I have a feelin once you get a few more the new ones will coax the others out (had a similar prob with mine) - good luck

I bought five of them, they are really cool, at first they would just hide, but a few hours later they all came out, weird thing is, a few days after i stuck my hand in the tank to move some stuff around, and one of them freak'd out big time, and the next day i found him dead, i never touched him, or nothing.

one of my trio of green chromis freaked out and died too, within 24 hours he went from healthy to dead, noticed he got kinda lethargic then started breathing heavily and went down hill...it was a day or two after adding them so I think he just stressed to death, the other two school and are doing great, I wanna get two more so they can be more of a school though...

    Still haven't come out yet.

Here is what I think happened. In the tank of Chromis at the store, there were a few that were swimming at the top of the tank and a few that were sitting on the sand in the corner. The guy caught one(the smallest one) that was from the top of the tank. Then I think he couldn't catch any of those so he got the other two from the ones not swimming around on the sand. So I don't think my two are going to come out from the rocks.
