Circulation pumps (wavemakers) on ebay

Hi Midnight Madman

I have used the Sunsun brand wavemakers for about 3 years now
I have 2 different models at present

JVP201 - 6000 LPH
JVP202 - 12000 LPH

these are both twin output models (look like binoculars)
I cannot offer any direct comparisson with Korallia's as I have not used the Hydor product

I can say they perform well, and I have had no issues with reliability thus far

they do come with mag mount option, and you will need this as the suction cup is the only negative I have found with these Chinese brand wavemakers

I would avoid

Resun brand wavemakers - 2000lph and 4000 lph models ( as I tried these and the flow rates are exaggerated IMHO)

Boyu brand - the wavemakers seem good in terms of flow rates, but there is no magnet mount option on these as yet, and the suckers are rubbish IMHO


if you go with Sunsun - then I believe you will be satisfied with your choice

I no longer run them... I didn't have problems with them but, I didn't really liked them. They just wasn't anywhere near the quality as my Hydors.

Hmm. I see they say these pumps require a 220v electric supply. Thats European right?
They look to be nice otherwise

I had two 800GPH sunsun with suction cups for past one year, they are good so far. suction cup lasts only 3-4 months, then you need to change them. I buy cheap suction cups from homedepot and modify it. i guess now they are making magnetic base too.

regarding flow, it's too much for my 80 gallon, i have to take one of them out.
