Oh GOD NO!!! Just like Nismo400rgtr & myself no covers. The bulbs have built in heatsinks that MUST breath. Did you see my test temp reading? That was 20min at 135 degrees out in the open!!! Now, put it in a place where heat can build up... NO!!!!

The Pendant I had in my hands at Lowes. Two things, get rid of the glass cover and the so called Adjustable is done by removing or adding the tube sections. Not possible when wire runs through each section of tube.

Where did you buy the light sockets? My local Lowes doesnt carry the size needed for the bulbs. Even just a name of the. Socket would help.

    Looks good.

Well, I had a small colony of green zoas that was covering pretty much 360 degrees of the rock it was on. I couldn't position it right on my aquascaping, so I fragged it last night. Curiously waiting to see how it does under these lights.

I have read the warranty off the BOOSTLED website. I can't even have a cover like the Royce pendant I linked to? It's got a 10" diameter...

What's special about the bulb socket?(What Xmetal was talking about)

No. But I am working on a cover that will incorporate a fan and moonlights in each pendant. My idea that I have had since I ordered them. So if I see that being mfg my attorney will be in touch. :)

Are these similar or identical to the LED PAR 30 at Lowes...just 6500K or Blue/White Combo instead of the 3000K? I had a customer that wants the LED PAR 30's in can lights, and with all the heat issues I keep hearing about, if they are the same, I don't want to install them.

The output of these LEDs are a lot more. The ones you are talking about run cooler and are designed to be used in can lighting.
