lol.. ok ok ok.. I know I have kept everyone in suspense. I have been VERY busy with getting back from Portugal, tending to my new hydro seeded yard, buying a new 24HP yard tractor, and weddings & grad parties. As well as secretly building my live stock. ;D

    Cycling Begins

Hello Everyone. These pics were taken the day I came back from Portugal I left on 05/20/2010 & came home 05/28/2010 that's 9 days. The day before I left I had just seeded my tank with 5lbs of live sand & added live rock. I set my timers on my light fixture & turned on my skimmer. That was it. No live stock what so ever. I let the live rock & live sand do all the work. You'll see why I did it this way.

You'll notice that do to the current from my return I have some bare bottom. Added more rock will fix this.

    Starting Adding Snails & Hermits

On 05/30/2010 I went to my LFS (Coral Reef) and picked up some snails & hermit crabs to start mowing some of the grow that had started.

Added Fish & Live Rock From 29gal

Ok, it's 06/02/2010. I moved my fish & the remaining live rock from my 29gal to my 90gal. I did not use the water from my 29gal since salt level was low & did not trust it to be added to my new system, so I just drained my 29gal that was still at my girlfriend's mothers house & brought it home to set it up later as a QT tank or something.

Also, added my powerheads & Red Sea Wavemaker from my 29gal onto my 90gal. On a 2nd note. Have you noticed that my coralline algae is starting to spead to my other live rock. I had 2 pieces of live rock that I bought that had it. All my LR from my 29gal had none. Pretty impressive.

06/03/2010 I saw this hermit crab & thought this was pretty amazing. He climbed to the top of the tank using the silicone to hold on to. I always knew they were strong, but with current & a house to your back? I'm impressed.

It's now 06/06/2010. The hair algae is growing like crazy, so went back to my LFS & bought from mexican turbo snails. Again even more coralline algae.
