It's now 06/08/2010. My good buddy Mike came by with a nice show piece of green star polyps, an anemone that had split off of his (not sure which one. If someone could tell me thank you), and huge piece of zoanthids (again not sure on type, if someone could them me please).

It's now 06/16/2010. I woke up to check on my system as I do every morning before heading to work. I noticed that my 90gal water level looked low & my return was not working. I bolted to my fish room in my basement to find an inch of water in my room. I shut down my return. I topped off my sump with some more saltwater from my holding barrel & powered up my system. Now the pain staking of cleaning saltwater off the counter & floor. My fail-safe system sorta worked. It did contain the water as I designed it, but the water sensor that I had on the floor did not. Why? The concrete floor is not even and water was all around the sensor, but never touched it. I have then fixed that!

So what happened? I replaced the used Mag 7 pump 700 GPH with a new 1056 GPH that I had laying around. I thought I had the adjustment right on the gate value the night before. Nope, it water worked it's way up the skimmer tower and overflowed my waste container. When that topped off, it spilled onto the counter & onto the floor.

Also, fixing that problem with a float sensor in the container. Saltwater is a pain to clean, then I had to rinse with freshwater to remove the salt coating it leaves behind.

Over all good news, no lives lost. :)

This was taken on 06/24/2010. This is what my sump/refuge looks like at this time. Next step is going to be me adding a light to my fuge & getting it going.

Just hang in there... but it could spread all over your tank, so be aware that the algea needs light, phosphates and nitrates to survive. Make sure you get your water parameters in check. Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks guys.. Yeah the algae looks to be ok right now. I keep getting a dusting on my glass. I'm going to order new bulbs. I'm not to crazy about these Current bulbs...

I need to order a controller. Just the 499.99 price tag is pretty steep for the one I want. Any crazy eddy deals out there?????
