OK, so it's been a week since I posted anything so it's only fair. :) I noticed that my lighting color was off & my coral wasn't liking it. I was going to order then from Marine Depot, but I needed them now. It was only $2.00 more per bulb from my LFS & they have always helped me & when I have them test my water, they never charge me. Might as well help the local business.

Ok, replaced all my standard T-5 Current 54W bulbs, with Giesemann Powerchrome Aqublue Plus & Pure Actinic bulbs. Wow what a difference.

First pic was before & the second is after.

OK, did a water test. Found out my magnesium & calcium are low, then again my system is growing coralline algae. So I started adding needed of both..

Well finally got time tonight to work on my sump/refuge. I cut one section of 1/2" PVC right down the middle so that it would lock into my glass divider. The top 1/2" PVC is notched so it would lock into the plastic lip at the top of the tank. Drilled top & bottom sections so I could use zip ties to fasten the egg crate. End results, it's removable for service or future modifications. Mike007 thanks for the original idea! ;)

Thanks Jkat21. They are looking a lot better now since I changed the bulbs in my fixture & added more calcium and magnesium to my system.. I'm still boosting my calcium and magnesium on a daily dose. They are still too low.
