Well, spoke to my LFS today & he had gotten some new fish & would be ready on Thursday. So, he's holding a new addition to our tank "Hippo Tang". Of course getting for LR too. That's what I like about him, he won't sell anything unless it's been in his systems for at least 2 weeks...

Well, got my new Blue Hippo Tang on Saturday. Wow he looks tiny next to my other fish. Little porker, I fed my fish an hour ask I got him & he's flying around the tank eating away. Very good sign..

Just great. Grrrr I decided to clean my protein skimmer today & discovered a crack at the bottom where It's joined at the seam. Luckily I have acrylic to weld it together. So that's what I did and clamped it together. The only problem it states it takes 24 to 48 hours to cure. So my skimmer is down til then. So part of my water that was going through my skimmer was going out the crack.

I wonder if you will see a visible improvement in skimmer performance now you have noticed and addressed the cracked seam

Good question buddy. I was wondering that myself. Well on a second note. I have my new 29gal at my lfs to get a drain drilled. That will be a new thread.

Well checked out my skimmer after 24hrs after I welded my acrylic seam and it looks better than the original seam. Tested for leaks, not one found. Back into service it goes.
We'll see what the skimming looks like in the next 24hrs.
