Installed new dividers using 1/4" glass. As you may notice I had the exposed side rounded off. Now just letting it cure..

Finally got a chance to take a pic of my new custom RO/DI System. I went with the HM-D2 Dual TDS Meter 2. Opted for the clear canisters, dual DI filters, pressure tank & auto shut-off with a couple of added touches..

I saw you asked about a closed loop for flow a little bit back. Basically, it's just holes on either side of the tank that you plumb with pvc. The connect at a pump, so water goes in one side and out the other, making a loop. It is a closed loop because the water goes directly back into the aquarium.

Questions are always welcomed.. We're all new & always learning.. I can't take credit for the glass cutting, my local glass company (Glaser Glass) did a super job! Matter of fact they want pictures when done.. lol.. I have plenty of room, in case of power outage... The tank is 40gals, 36" L x 17" H x 18" W. The dividers are ref/drain 13" H x 17 1/2 W, since my protein skimmer require 7" in water height next divider is 7" x 17 1/2 W, next divider is the bubble trap 14" H x 17 1/2 W which is 4' from the bottom & goes all the way to the top, last is the return 6" H x 17 1/2 W. Those are all 1" grapped from each other.. As you can see I used CD cases. Two cases = 1 inch.

I did a test run when I had the acrylic first & had plenty of water room.. Thus, how I found out the hard way, silicone doesn't stick to acrylic...

    Hope this helps.. ;)

    Thanks for the measurements !!

What i learned ......Acrylic don't stick to glass....if you must use it ....leave room for expansion 1/16.....and what a closed loop is ......:)

+K and thanks for the info !
