    1st Wall

Started to put up the 1st wall. Since we want to finish off the basement this year. I used this wall to close off where the equipment is in the basement.

More drywall & installed the door. I wanted to install a door that would allow me to bring in or out any of my needs including the heating system or even the oil tank if it should ever fail. The door is 80" high by 36" wide.

    Time To Enclose

Ok, time to enclose the room. I used 2x4 pressure treated on the floor & drove 2 1/2" nails into the concrete. Used 2x4 studs on the walls & 3" drywall screws to fasten them. I was just going to insulate the outer wall to the rest of the basement, but thought it would be a good idea to insulate the whole room due to the boiler that works all year round since it heats our hot water. I want to control the temp in my fish room as much as possible.

    Finished Up The Rough Work

Well, the rough work is pretty much done. Added the needed insulation to the outer wall & enclosed it. Finished the last wall, framed for the door, & ran the electrical for the light switch. Installed the 2 last sheets of drywall. Going to pickup some more & should have it enclosed by tomorrow night.

Welcome and great looking tank but don't save on the skimmer... do you intend to build a reef or fish only?

Thank you.. I have already puchased a Reef Devil Deluxe skimmer that should handle the load a while back. I plan on a mix on the reef & fish which is what I have now on my 29gal...

Went to Home Depot tonight & picked up the rest of the drywall & tape. I finished installing the insulation & wired up the lighting in the room so I can see, yes it's a temp connection ;). Started to hang some drywall..
