Finished sanding, vacuumed the room, wiped down the walls with a damp cloth, & reapplied a little more compound where it was needed. Now just let it dry again & do a final sand.

Just a little trick for all of you. Drywall dust gets EVERYWHERE & is difficult to work within a room. I closed the door to the room & attached my 6.5HP shopvac to the door knob opening. What this does is, it draws the fine dust that is in the air into the vacuum. Of course still use a mask that is designed for drywall use. Also note make sure that your shopvac has a bag style filter in it or you will just take dust from one room an put it in another.

Already purchased the paint. Since this room will contain a high moisture in the air, I wanted a paint that could take the wear & tear. Going to use an BEHR exterior semi-gloss enamel paint. A couple things I didn't know.

    1. BEHR exterior paint as do other good paints have anti mold additive in it.

    2. Higher the gloss, the more resistant to moisture it is.

    3. Exterior paint is designed to protect against UV lighting.

I'm also using a paint and primer in one paint. Reason is simple cost! Even thought it's almost $36.00 per gallon for the BEHR, it's still cheaper than spending $29.00 for paint & $20.00 for primer per gallon, that's $49.00 and you still need to apply 2 coats of paint in most cases. So you would be painting the room 3 times!!

John, what's happening. My name is Steve and I'm setting up the same exact tank. With the over flow in the same position and everything. So far making good progress. Tank is a 90 just like yours. I have a reef master 200 wet/dry. 950GPH pump. Forget what kind of protein skimmer I have but it's huge, and does a good job, in the sump, by the way. I have a refugium set up in the wet/dry and it's doing an amazing job.

There is about 60 lbs of live rock 80 lbs. of live sand. Couple of Koralia power heads for circulation. I have a Coral Beauty Angel, three yellow tangs. 4 chromis, and anenome and a percula clown.

The tank has been running for a month. I'll look forward to watching your progress my 90 gallon friend.

    Steve

Thank you sir.. :) I just got home from work & looked at the room after letting it dry. Wow, I can pretty much get away with one coat if I wanted to. What an amazing job using the exterior paint & primer semi-gloss paint. Second coat goes on tonight.
