Plumbing is fine as is. If you are worried about stress on the glass then support the plumbing buy using hangars or some wood to support the weight.

    Refugium Update!

So after about a week's worth of work and going to Lowe's a few times I finally got everything running. There is still some cloudiness from the sand but it is slowly coming out of the system!

Now I am waiting on my order of mangrooves, penny algae, and chaeto from John. can't wait to get this thing under way. I'm going to go and buy a bunch of rubble rock from a LFS for frags and what not to fill it with also. Maybe two skunk cleaners, who knows.

    Update

So my macro algae came in from John and just wanted to post some pics to make sure everything is good where it is at in the fuge, especially the mangrooves.

Halimeda, I think, this was my penny algae.

Just wanting to make sure that the mangrooves are fine with there bottoms in the sand and their tops not out of the water. Just wondering.

I also had to move the clam down here because my Kole Tang was attacking it.

    Very nice.

Watch the Ca with regard to the Halimeda, it sucks it up like a sponge IME.

Too bad about the tang, but it happens. You have so many corals now that I would think twice about another tang and avoid angels totally. A huge tank yes but you have almost the perfect balance now.

I absolutely love mangroves. My favorite marine plants by far.

Looks great! What lights do you have on your fuge? Sorry it probably say somewhere in pages back....

I want to move my clam to my fuge as well, as my tang is also picking at it, but I'm not sure about my light.

I'm running my old 2 bulb T-5 HO setup above it. I'mma try and wait a few weeks then sneak the clam back in and see in the tang won't touch it. lol

Thanks! Its fine now, not so upset because the clam opened right up in the fuge and looks pretty good down there.

Is it cool for the tip to be under the water? Also should I take the Halimeda out then? I dont want to be worrying about Ca except with regard to my SPS.

A lot of people say the tips have to be out of the water or else they turn black and die. Might be some truth to that but I never tried it the other way, with the tips under water so I can not say for sure, sorry:-[
