    i don't think the 2 vhos are enough to support the clam. I won't even take the pc's into consideration.

    The nano tank of the month was a aqua pod 24 with 3 pc light with two clams that looked very happy. That close to the lights it should be more then fine. VHOs are very underrated IMO

    ok what am I missing. You said it was 18 earlier. Oh lord. Sorry Will. I will say this, I don't think this clam will get enough light on the bottom of your tank. if you can get it to chill on the rock untill you get your t-5's going that would be awesome but it will need to be on the sand bed

    it is 16" away from the lights, and the lights are 6" from the waters surface. It looks like the clam and I have come to an agreement on how it will be oriented in my rocks. It has not moved in a day and a half and is still plenty visible from the front of the tank. Do you think it would help any if I put some crushed coral around the base where it has anchored itself? Could that trick the clam into thinking it is in the substrate or should I just leave well enough alone?

    If its happy id leave him more, the more you mess with him, the more chance he has to die.
