Clams for a Bare Bottom Tank?

    So having a bare bottom tank is my only clam option a Crocea?

    No, most clams are rock boring, or at least can be placed on rocks. Crocea, maxima, squamosa, and derasa's will all do good on the rock.
    What sized tank, and what kind of lights?

    IMO not enough lighting for a clam, though some would disagree. If you try one I would stick to a lower light clam.

    Just curious why you think it is not enough lighting? Of course I wasn't thinking on the bottom.

    I personally think if you are getting good sps growth, you should be able to support a clam just fine. I've got a gigas growing on the bottom of my 24 inch deep tank under 175 mh's only. I would go for a nice maxima and you can put him as high as you like.
