Thanks all! We're new, but we've definitely been studying and doing our homework before diving in. One comment about this...we'll need a few hours per day of minimal/moderate light for coralline...if we intend to use this as a marker that our system has sufficiently matured before adding our first-ever coral (which is to be either a 'shroom or a zoo, btw)...

We're really excited about reaching that milestone in time. But we are also patient and realize that good things come to those who wait.

    LOL, well hey :D

As for the lights, it's really a matter of preference. I kept them off during the cycle cause I was getting bummed at looking at an empty tank. With the lights off, I barely even noticed the tank in the living room at all. My rock was cured but had no coraline or I would have left the lights on to let it propagate.

Haha, yeah. NO, I haven't stopped down yet this week. Its such a grueling 20 minute ride LOL. I might go sometime tomorrow or Saturday to pick up that buy one get one free deal on Florida Ricordea. We'll see. Anyway, I really like that place. I think the best guy to talk to is Steve. He will never steer you wrong. He really helped me and continues to.

Edit: Whoa I am now a flamingo tongue! Strange.

Wow, that's rough man! We're about 10 minutes away from SF. Funny you should mention that...I'll actually tell Steve to take his time if he's already with a customer and will just look around the shop and wait for him. He's been extremely helpful to us too.
