My clowns seem to be doing fine they look good and they eat like crazy, i throw in 1/2 a cube of frozen brine shrimp and its gone in about 30sec. But, I noticed last night that one of the clowns, the smaller one, kind of shook. it looked like what we due when we get a chill, or maybe a mild seizure :-[ :-[. It only lasted a fraction of a second and then he returned to normal. It just looked weird so i thought i would ask if anyone know if this is normal.

    Perfectly normal...

What you are seeing is the male (smaller of pair) - "love shimmy" (made that up, ::) ) -

Mine does it all the time...

Think it is to show "submissiveness" to the female (???)

Kind of like a dog rolling over on its back to the dominant one.

Your clowns have "mated up" - congrats and best wishes to the happy couple!

Cool man,  Ya it sounds like your going to have a mated pair of Clarkies.  Things to watch for:  The male will start to clean up around there usual hang out or around the anemone.
Start to fortifying their food source.  Brine shrimp has very little nutrition, add silcone to it.  This is because when they lay eggs they will expend a great deal of energy and if their diet isn't good they will just eat all the eggs.
You can add a piece of LR or ceramic tile near the mating site to intice them to lay their eggs there.  This way it will be very easy to remove the eggs to hatch them out.
    Or
you can just have fun watching your Clarkies they will be fine with out doing anything different.  But I sure hope we get pictures when they lay eggs.

    Good Luck and have fun

    J

Ya I'm forever mixing different flake with frozzen. I found when your melting the frozzen in SW add the flake then. It will sink when added to the tank because is is wet, and then the fish will go for it

The longer the better. I usually soak for 15 - 30 minutes.
