Good idea. I'm not sure if my qt is up for the job yet. I've had filters and lights off for a month, and it needs to be tested. I just left for work. And as long as he's still alive by the time I get home, I should be able to do something about it.

Just an update. The smaller of the two passed within the last hour.

Well, I called my LFS earlier today looking for a solution. The owner said that he'd never seen a Clarkii Clown with Brooklynella, and that he's only heard of Maroons with it. He said he'd do some research and call me back. Well, the store closed half an hour ago, and not one call. And they're closed on Tuesday, so I can't contact them until Wednesday. Now all I'm left with is petco. :( and I'm actually crying. Not just out of sorrow, but because I'm pissed.

I dunno. I might run to petco and get a formalin treatment. Does anyone know of any brands? Also, I wouldn't call the LFS owner unintelligent. There are 3 owners. The one I talked to is sort of a SOB. there's a nice one, but not that smart. Then there's a smart AND nice one, who takes Monday's off. :( just bad luck.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I am so sorry.

Your LFS is wrong. The other name or common name is clownfish disease. While it is much more common with wild caught clowns, all fish can get it, not just clownfish.

Everyone that I know that has been in this hobby for any time has lost fish to diseases such as Marine ich, Brookynella and a host of others. It is frustrating and upsetting but it does get better.

    Again sorry.

Thanks. Are there any brands of treatment that you'd reccomend? I don't have the guts to trust petco. ::)

Copper would work. But I've heard that it doesn't really mix with clowns, and that formalin has fewer risks.
