i got a yellow tang and after i released him in my DT he decided to take the domino damsel cave. and they started a tail fight and the domino is trying to reclaim his home back. what should i do? should i rearrange the rocks or will they settle the dispute by themselves. i have in addition to the domino 2yellowtail damsels and 1hippo tang and 1 dragonet.
tank size is 75g and around 90 lb of rock
    thanks

that tank is too small for two tangs, i hate to be that guy but part of the territorial issue is not enough room, hippo tangs need at least a 90

well the blue hippo is not the issue he is happy and i got him from a guy that had him in a 30g cube. not saying it was correct to put him in 30g but i rescued him and so far he is liking it, beside i'll be starting a 90g or a 125 within this year.
the problem is between the yellow tang and the domino. any suggestions?

rearrange the rocks and shut off the lights. also a 90 gallon is too small for those two tangs, they each have a suggested tank size of 90 gallons and putting two in a 90 its just not big enough. do a 125 especially if you have other fish as well.

I have several domino damsels in my tank and they are all little hell beasts. But they also host my carpert anemone and swim laps with the tangs so they are worth the attitude. When adding my orange shoulder tang. It took over a week for the dominos to allow him out in the open. its a territorial issue. your tank is half my size about so it may take even longer top settle or they may never settle.

And for your previous post i gurantee your hippo is not happy. He would be happy in a 100 gallon or larger. He is accepting the slightly larger container than his previous but not happy.

    thanks guys for the help
i said the hippo was happy cause he had ich when i got him and he recovered w/o treatment. so what do you suggest for my 75g what kind of fish combination to have. is it better to keep the yellow or the hippo.

trade in the hippo for like a dwarf angel and your tank will be fine and perfectly stocked

i have seen in the lfs near me coral beauty, lemon peel, bicolor, and flame. i'm assuming the coralbeauty is the most reef safe. what about the others?

All pygmy angels may nip at SPS and some LPS. It's a bit of a crap shoot. Personally I like the flame the best.
