    Where did you get this crew?

    I've got a big clean up crew - bigger than yours in my 55. But a very different combination of snails. That seems like a lot of astrea's. Those are pretty heavy eaters. I actually don't keep any of them anymore. Seems like too many nassarius to me as well. But if you feed meaty stuff heavily, maybe not.

    They tend to stay in substrate, so you might not be seeing the dead nassarius.

    I think the hermits are doing this to you. You said the hermits were dead are you sure? When they molt they do look for bigger shells and their old exoskeleton can look like dead ones.

    Yes well thats his tail I'm setting on mine never read or worte an article myself. But having carried my Journeyman's since 1968 and Masters electrical cards since 1971 I'll keep my tanks connected to a solid ground just the same .

    No groung probe /rod here !!! I bought 60 of there things[snails] ;D and they are eating algae on my overflows like a boa [snake] eats a rat !!!! Have a 180g tank and was wondering if 60 ea.it enough !!!
