Hey, I have a 55 gallon reef tank. My Cleanup crew is not near complete and i need some suggestions for what to get as i am not sure. I have 90lbs LR and atleast 2inch sandbed.
    My CUC consists of:
    12 turbo snails
    3 xlarge turbo snails
    5 hermit crabs
    1 cleaner shrimp

    1 bristletooth tang

What should i add and how much?

I would add 2 brittle starfish and a few Emerald Crab's. Most folks dont like the crab idea I think it is based on corals and or the type of corals hard vs soft I am redoing my CUC and everything from a major tank crash due to lying LFS and a greek goddess (never get one) I am going to get my next clean up crew from saltwaterfish.com they have a good deal for 99.00 around here an emerald crab is 7.99 anyway there will be more input from others good luck

+1 for reefcleaners, Never needed to order anything from them before but have only heard good things about them, customer service is also said to be top notch :)

brittle starfish huh? Never heard that they were good cleaners. Are they okay with corals of all kind? fish? and such. What do they eat.

Based on my own research into getting a brittle, but never having had one, I would say a brittle needs a pretty established 55g to survive in one.

So, personally, I'm waiting until my 55 passes the 1 year mark before I try one...

I would also add a few margarita snails into the mix....They work faster than turbos for some reason...good luck!

avoid the brittle they tend to get way to big , and will hunt , dont know how many fish (mostly smaller )firefish ect and shrimp and who knows what else the monster i have in my one tank has trapped they set up a trap or go hunting at night about 3-4 years ago i rescued it from a lfs , was missing 2 arms almost dead , now w/ arms stretched out probably the size of a basket ball

Thats insane... but pretty cool. Well i shall not get one, although they are a weird looking creature. Im think about another 30 snails or so but im unsure of a good combination.

I just read that margarita snails do poorly in tropical reef aquariums due to high temperatures. CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG HOWEVER

What about any Canadian websites or US ones that ship to canada?
