    hello, i am getting a custom clean up from live aquaria. i am going to get
    -15 blue leg hermit crabs
    -5 astraea snails
    -5 nassarius snails
    -3 turbo snails
    -3 peppermint shrimp
    -2 porcilian crabs
    -1 fighting counch
    -1 snapping shrimp
    is this good, thanks
    my tank is 46 gallons

    Personally I'd go with no more then 3 hermits. Can be destructive lil buggers and snail eaters.

    I'd add a lot more snails to the mix if your tank is aged and growing stuff in it! about 40 cerith's and 30 or so nerites and nassarius, that way ya have a snail for everything.

    well the reason that i wanted to get live aquaria was because i can get a lot of inverts cheep like snapping shrimp, porcilian crab and peppermint shrimp
    is 20 snails better

    Id get something at least close to that if not more snails, they just make your life easier, IMO.

    And nana is kinda right about the hermits, they can be annoying, knock stuff over etc, but i prob have 40-50 in my tank and I love having them in there. Well until its coral feeding time, then ya have to distract them so they don't pull food out of the corals mouths!;)

    LOL, yep, and I've just read a ton of threads about them going rogue. It sucks, they are beautiful and have great personalities, UNTIL........they start tearing through your CUC for what seemed like just fun! This is mine tearing up and killing a rather large emerald, he then moved on to trying to kill a huge turbo
