    I added my first fish to my 75 gallon tank 4 days ago. When should i get my clean up crew.

    Personally, I like to add half now and half later, when algae is growing better. I'g get a basic 40G crew from reeflceaners now, and then get another 40G crew with extra fun stuff, like urchins, shrimp, limpets, conch, starfish, whatever you research and decide on ;)

    Bad part is you pay shipping twice this way.

    I like to wait at least until I see a build up of something for them to chow down on.

    How new is your tank? Either way, you would at least want some Nerite snails or even shrimp (Scarlet Skunk or Blood Red) to eat the left overs. You can get the algae eaters later if you want.

    I just started my tank up. I don't have any algae in the tank yet. I didn't use live rock. I used dry rock live sand and seeded it with Dr. tims one and only.

    I would suggest getting something to clean up the leftovers from when you feed, however I would wait for a little while for the algae cleaners until you start to see some in there and then hit it hard!
