I don't know about 8 emeralds that sounds like a lot(but I'm not really an expert and they are).... looks like you got a well rounded crew there. I have one emerald and the fuzzy chiton really mows down algae.

That does look like a nice crew. I'm building mine up at a LFS slowly but I havent seen any chitons there and I really really want one.

The emerald crabs are slllooooowww, at least mine is, so 8 may not be too many. I only have one EC but my sally light foot looks like it is on crack when you compair them.

8 emeralds sounds like a lot to me. I can't ever keep more than one alive for more than a few months. So now I just keep one at a time.

I got the Chitons from them too (actually, I've got a 55 and got my CuC from same place and your list is similar to mine)... but once the hair algae was gone, the Chitons started to die-off. I had 3, then 2, then 1, then 0 ;)

I love the Chitons, but my tank is too clean for them... I'm not complaining. I actually think it's the same "problem" I have with the Emeralds.

I just floated them for 20 minutes and then dumped them in. However, in hindsight, the limpets need to be better acclimated. Most of my limpets died within the first week. They couldn't 'hold on' and were constantly on their backs unable to flip themselves back. 5 months later and of the two limpets that survived the first week, I only have 1. It moves from the spot it hangs out in maybe once a month... but it's always back to the exact same spot. Weird. Not useful. Very neat though to show people. I'd recommend doing the floating -> add some tank water -> wait -> add some tank water method for the limpets. The rest I had success with just floating. (note: reefcleaners refunded the limpets bc they are awesome)

I would throw in some planaxis as well to get in the real small small spots. Those things are tiny!

My limpets didn't make it either. I wouldn't order those. I think a couple made it a few days. I ordered 3 chitons and only one made it alive.. and he's been in there about 2-3 months now. I'm worried there isn't enough green in there for him.

yeh I'm thinking on dropping the limpets and getting another fuzzy chiton instead.
