We got a shipment of livestock in yesterday. The cleaner crab arrived upside down on its back and not really moving. We decided to float him instead of drip acclimate him to hopefully bring his body temp down as the water was really cold. He began to come around slowly, twitching his legs. We let him sit for a few more hours, then put him into the tank. He really didn't move once placed in the tank, except to push away a few bristle worms. But after about 5 mins the bristle worms seemed to have overwhelmed him and began crawling on him. We took him back out immediately and took the worms off of him. By this time it was really late and we just decided to go to bed. He has been in a pitcher of water floating in the tank overnight. What should we do (if he is still alive)? Is he sick, dead, shy? I'm lost and looking for help!

    Thanks in advance.

If bristle worms were overwhelming him I'm sorry to say but the outlook is not too good. If he's alive in the morning let him back into the tank but if he couldn't fight them off he's not going to live long anyways. Sick crab. :(
