Sorry, I did forget to specify what type.... it is a skunk cleaner shrimp. I wouldn't like to take it out as it is a mated pair with another. I was hoping there were some other methods that I could try first before taking it out.

Generally, the skunk is the only one referenced as a cleaner, but I fail to see where it matters; if it's attacking a nem, it needs to be dealt with regardless. BTW, the CBS is not a cleaner shrimp at all; it's just a very pretty scavenger. ;)

Unfortunately, once a critter turns rogue, there's nothing you can do. They cannot be tamed or trained to not be destructive. If it's only stealing food, you can feed the shrimp first (I prefer to feed mine occasionally, anyway); If it's just constantly picking at the nem however, it will eventually kill it. Separation may be the only choice.

Red Booted and Peppermint shrimp are also "cleaners" so I figured asking what type was prudent as we all know what peppermints can do to a nem..Not sure what "cleaners" means in Austrailia.(where the O.P. lives)

Precisely why peeps buy peppermint shrimp...they will eat Aiptasia, altho I've never had them bother corals. I wish I could keep peps in our tanks now, actually, as I really like them, but they'd be scorp food.
