So, just now I was just sitting on my couch watching tv and I turn and look at my tank and I see thousands of of clear specs blowing around in the water. I couldnt tell what it was so I turned my powerheads and pumps off for a better look and they were moving on their own in the water! I can't believe my eyes right now. I believe my cleaner shrimp mated and had babies. I doubt i could get a usable photo of them but it looks like thousands of tiny shrimp blowing around in the water.

I had a bloom of shrimp when my tank was first setup. They were gone within hours. I didn't have a shrimp.

Mysid shrimp are definitely a possibility. Without a microscope and extensive knowledge can't say for sure what they are. All i can say is that its really exciting to see and that my corals must be very happy after feasting last night.

Bluewater, I read that its very difficult but the thread i found on the topic didn't suggest much as to how.

My two cleaner shrimp would release babies every two weeks like clockwork...fish would go nuts. Very cool to watch..I've since put them in my sump until I get my new 32 gallon up and running, found it too difficult and frustrating to target feed corals with both of them in my tank.
