Ok i have never heard of a cleaner shrimp eating coral nor have any cleaner shrimp i have kept starting eating my coral. well i just saw my cleaner goin nuts on my spongodes frag needles to say to the sump he went. also is it possible for an aiptisia anem to come as a hitch hiker from marco rocks if not where the hell did the thing come from, it is really small and clearish so it won't come up in photos.

My peppermint shrimp went crazy and started shredding up the tentacles of my hammer coral once... he died a week later due to my surgeon tang :)confused:)

Are you sure it was eating the coral and not some detritus/algae/other growth on it?

well i did watch it for a bit it looked as if it was trying to rip the polyps off the frag and eat them, there wasn't any algae or anything from what i could see on the frag, the polyps are still retracted so i am not sure if any damage actually occured, i guess i will just have to wait till the morning and find out. the shrimp was pulling from the tip of the frag not near the rock or anything and it was for a quite a length a time not just a grab a amphipod or something
