I was thinking about getting a pair of cleaner shrimp for my 29 gall. The tank has been running for about four months. What do the cleaner shrimp eat?

I could be wrong, but I think it is peppermints that eat Aiptasia. Cleaners are scavengers.

my cleaner def eats anything, he has molted about 8 times or so, I agree they are hilarious when trying to get food. They will scavenge at night and clean up uneaten food & whatnot. They will also jump on your hand and try to clean under your fingernails or any cuts you have. Last night I was doing work in my tank and Ronald wouldn't stop trying to clean my cuts, he's like free health care!

Cleaner shrimp will eat leftover foods that falls to the sand bed and just about anything else that comes its way. If you stick your hand in the tank, it will try to pick off parts of your skin too, and it does sting when it happens.
