Cleaner shrimp

So I bought a cleaner shrimp about 3 weeks ago. right when i got him I found out I had ich and removed my sailfin tang to quarantine. I couldnt find my cleaner shrimp about a week after that. I recently read that "Shrimp hide after they shed their exoskeleton to let it harden." Is this true? could by shrimp be hiding for over 2 weeks?
90 gallon tank
100lbs of live rock
1 inch sand
20g sump

 

2 weeks is way too long for molting. Most likely gone. Sorry

 

Yea...thats a long time. When I got mine a couple of weeks ago I lost him for a day or two!

I saw his molt shell on a rock and then the next day it was gone. I think he consumed it.

Then a day or two later he was out, he's not out all the time though...I have to look for him every once in a while.

 

I recently bought one and it molted and then died. two weeks seems to long. It is a cleaner shimp rite? I have a pistol shrimp. havent been able to find him for a month but thats normal.

 

Thanks guys, picked up another cleaner and a peppermint. Somethings gotta somewhat entertain me while I am fallow...
