Currently have 1 cleaner shrimp in my 90 gallon reef. Was just wondering if it would benefit from having 2, or would they end up beating each other up?
Currently have 7 fish, and my current cleaner shrimp doesnt seem too interested in doing any cleaning of my fish.

They wouldn't really beat each other up but you could look at getting some more diversity with say a couple peppermint shrimp or some other kind of shrimp.... Just a thought. Oh, another one I've had luck with is the Coral Banded shrimp...

I had two at one time, they were great together, one reason they may not clean your fish is it could be eating what ever you feed the fish.

Well with shrimps its the old rule the more the merrier :) But about 6 to 12 in the tank they will come out like with the blood/fire shrimp one or two will be seldom seen where as put in 6 or so then they will cruise the tank all day long , Safety in numbers I guess ? But when or if I add them I try to start with 6 of the same species at least .

Don't feed for a few days (your fish won't starve) and see if he starts doing his job. My lawnmower blenny never eats hair algae if I'm throwing spinach in but when I don't for a few days he goes after it like his life depends on it. I told him when he gets that GHA gone (there's a 1 inch patch left) then he can have spinach!

A lot of time they don't go after their natural prey because we're over feeding them.

I had two blood shrimp and one killed the other. From my experience the fire shrimp are not good to their own species. Also from my experience my cleaner shrimp only clean when the fish have parasites. Normally they don't clean them, but whenever a fish gets a spot of ich, the shrimp are all over them.
