Generally, I found that the ultimate factors with the cleanup crews is their inherent short life span. Unless they have specific nutritional requirement cleaners usually manage well enough to scrape up around nooks, cranies and some left over food keeping them going for a long time.

What about feeding inverts algae discs/ seaweed ect?

My emerald crab has about cleaned my only green rock clean. I have seen him eat some frozen shrimp but, I think he prefers green stuff. I tried lettuce and brocoli and he checked it out, but I don't think he's going to eat it.

I'm thinking about buying some sort of seaweed product.

Agreed... so far. My brown algae stage started about a week ago. Covered the tops of rocks and sand / back wall. I almost bought one of those big cleaner crews for my 180 since the algae was growing fast... even though I've read it will just go away by itself. I guess there are other algae blooms on the way in the next few months, but anyhoo. I got 3 turbo, 3 nassarius, 10 blue legs, I have a 5 peppermints, 2 cleaners shrimp and an emerald crab.. I think the snails mainly have wiped the tank clean in about 3-4 days. I'm worried they'll run out of food. I'm dropping some of those sinkable algae wafers in there for them so we'll see.

ive always heard astrea snails dont require as mush food as other snails, and they are pretty good on algae...they have been in my tank for almost the whole set up as of now (55 gall., about a year now)....i also take them out of my main tank, and put them into my 20 gall. 'fuge for a couple days also...
