Can I take my live rock out of my tank and just scrub GHA off it with a brush in a different tank of water and then return it back to the DT without any adverse conditions?

I did scrub mine a few times when I had algae problems and I didn't notice any problems.

A good way is to use a new toothbrush rubberbanded to a siphon hose. Scrub like that on your next water change and you should be good to go.

    Totally agree with all above
a bucket of tank water and a toothbrush at water change times was the method I found most rewarding on one of my previous set ups ( touch wood no GHA duing 16 months of my present set ups life)
