I need to get my hands in the tank to rip out some macroalgae that seems to be getting out of control. I want to use gloves to do this. I've seen the long gloves that are sold on-line but can I just use a new pair of standard rubber kitchen gloves to get this done quickly before this stuff takes over?

I use the purple non-latex ones. They are not very high though.

No problem with them, but as mentioned above, most of them aren't very high. Also, don't get the ones with powder!

Don't these rubber kitchen gloves have some sort of lint-like kind of stuff on the inside?

How 'bout a pair of tight surgical gloves?

If you have a dog or cat (and therefore a veterinarian) ask him/her to order some shoulder length gloves for you.
