    Don't run it, disassemble it so the vinegar gets everywhere. You may not realise it but spinning impellers create high and low pressure areas inside a pump motor or volute so you need to get to the areas where calcium builds up and disassembly is usually necessary.
    If you let things soak for more than an hour or two, remove the rubber pieces like suction cups and O rings after an hour as vinegar will eventually attack them making them swell up and get brittle.
