I had my tank for about a year and a half and unfortunatly already had to dismantle it already. I'm moving to a different apartment before heading across country so I took it down two days ago and started selling things for some money.

I just had a guy offer me $40 for about 85 lbs. of rock because he "knew how much work he had to do." I feel I'd rather do "all that work" in order to get more money since I'm moving across country til September. Now, I've read a little about it but is there anything else to do other than scrub everything real hard with something like a toilet brush? Or can I soak it in something to speed up the process or to make scrubbing easier?

What do you want to clean off it? Are you trying to keep it live rock?

If I can get a good price on it I wanna sell it b/c I need money. I just wanna clean it so it can be used in someone else's tank. If I can't get what I think is a good price on it then I'll keep it. I'd like to think I'll get back into the hobby once I'm in a more permanent setting.

Well if you dont mind nuking it that's the best way to clean it. You can boil it to kill any bad stuff then scrub it the best you can and let dry. Or use bleach. There are a lot of good threads on how to nuke live rock to kill the baddies.
