I just took down my tank because it had crashed and I wanted to start over with new substrate anyway.

So my question is for those people who have cleaned their tank with bleach.

If you could explain to me how it is supposed to be done I would greatly appreciate it. I just need to know how much to put in with water, how many time the tank must be cleaned out, and how long it needs to dry for the bleach to evaporate out.

    Thanks!

I used vinegar to clean mine - I think the ratio was about 50/50. Bleach will also work and you could use a 1 part bleach to 3 parts water. Bleach will evaporate, so allow it plenty of air drying time after you are done cleaning.

Thanks, I'm probably gonna let it air dry for a few days just to be sure.
