So I just added a condylactis gigantea anemone to my tank and ever since then my two cleaner shrimp rarely leave its side.

Anyone know what they do this? My only guess is they hope to get dead fish parts away from it when it's fed but until a few seconds ago I hadnt fed him yet.

Yes, looking for a free meal. In the wild, nems catch small fish, so it's not surprising that the shrimp would be accustomed to stealing their food. I lost 3, BTW... a skunk cleaner and 2 coral banded shrimp... got a little too careless and became dinner.

Interesting, I feed my anemones silversides regularly. The cleaners seem to love silversides as well so they will get brave enough to snatch the fish pieces out of the anemone. They also often touch the anemone with their antennas and proceed to clean them afterwards and repeat over and over haha.

The reason this seemed strange to me was because when I added my first RBTA they couldnt care less. With the addition of the pink tipped condy they instantly chose a new hangout spot.
