so parts of my sand are collecting a good amount of algae and gettig little bubbles stuck to it all over the sand. Is their a way to clean it or should i just leave it for my clean up crew?

If it's the brown diatoms on the sand, about once a week I use the siphon during the water change to remove most of them. My tank is still young (2 months) and my understanding is that at the tank matures this issue will mbe reduced if not go away.

if your sand is big enough you can use a gravel vac

if they are air bubbles on the sand with the algae, they are being produced by cyanobacteria... unless you have massive powerheads blowing air bubbles around in your tank (which really shouldnt be happening).

Regardless, you should see if there are excess phosphates/nitrates in your tank- always a primer for algae.
