Clear Bubble on Zoa & Frogspawn

    I don't think these were here prior, just noticed them both. I don't know how easy they are to see in this pic (between being small and the sand in the water. See Goby thread for more on the sandstorm). they look like tiny firm bubbles at the base of both.

    that's my fear as well, unfortunately if you google the terms bubble and coral all you get is bubble coral lol lot of damn good that does me.

    The pic is blurry, so it's very hard to tell. Sounds dumb, but maybe a blob of crazy glue? Can you get a pic with the macro setting and your camera lens touching the tank glass? That will reduce the camera shake tremendously and will allow for a better id.

    If it is green, than it bubble algae. In this case, I really don't see anything harmful. The zoanthids look very healthy and the euphyllia looks happy too so personally I wouldn't sweat it.

    I agree with Alston, When i was hooking up my skimmer, there was a leak in the tube, and bubbles just spilled out like crazy for 2 days, until i figured out there was a leak haha. But most of my corals got a few micro bubbles on them..Micro bubbles are very small little air bubbles, they aren't harmless, unless..you get them on everything and get everything covered...Im not really sure if they increase or decrease oxygen though.
