Congrats, great hitcher! Always great to see some diversity in our systems. There are so many interesting critters that pop up.

Thank you, most recent image looks like a sponge. You have some interesting hitch-hikers.

    Thank you.

The sponge is pretty interesting. He gets big and pretty then will look like a pineapple sponge after having the lights on all day...that's what he looked like last night anyway...so thinking it was stressed, I turned the actinics on and went out to do yard work. When the lights came back on, it looked like it was pink. By the time I emptied a disc for pictures, it was back to the clear and grey colors.

Are there any sponges that give the appearance of changing color and will be beautiful one minute and look like the Pineapple the next?

....also, the picture with my new hitchhiker has him there looking more like a sponge than he did in the close up pictures I posted last night.

I came home from work, and the sponge looked pink to me again. I was able to snap a picture of him with this pink tint.

I've already deleted my discs from last night so I put the new picture on the post with the 3 other pictures from page #2 from yesterday evening so that the colors can be compared.

Definitely a bit of a difference. It was the most noticable on the longest line on the left side. I am deleting the picture in between them to make the comparison easier.

In the new picture, the long line on the left, you can see where most of it is (looks like brown but it's pink here) covered with a fleshy color and there is still a piece of grey at the bottom of the line. The photo from last night did not look that way. It was all the same grey color.

Can anyone else see it too?
