It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I really like your tank.

    What type of fish?

The tank would be great with bottom dwelling fish like blennies, anglers or dwarf lion fish. It reminds me of a bio-type system.

    Thank you!

I'm still not sure about what type of fish. There are so many great choices with SW. I know I would like one bottom dwelling fish and maybe 2 or 3 fish that swim in the open. If I can I'll try to avoid overlapping niches.

I've been seeing the Fu Man Chu Lionfish around lately. I like them, but my pep might object ;).

It reminds me of a bio-type system too :). I really like the natural look.

    Thank you!

I ordered an RO/DI unit. It's a 75 gpd 4 stage from BRS. No more hauling water ;D.

I connected the RO unit to a sink in the basement. The tank is upstairs though. Luckily there is a plumbing access point in the closet next to the tank. The access point allowed me to run the water feed line into the room with the tank :).

I used the optional shut-off and float valve to plumb it into the ATO reservoir. I also added a second tube in the ATO reservoir lid. The second tube is to supply RO water via siphon when needed.

To avoid TDS creep. Should I leave the water to the RO unit off? Only turning it on to fill the ATO reservoir when it's low. Or can I leave the water on so that the ATO fills as needed? TDS in is 35 ppm.

As long as water is not flowing through the unit it shouldn't matter whether you leave it on or off. If you are scared the float valve might stick or some other malfunction flooding the room then I would leave it off. ATO always scare me but I am sure there are people here who use them all the time with no issues.Good luck.8)

Ah, good to know. I try to leave the unit off unless I forget. That's why I got the auto shut off and float valve. Less chance of flooding if I forget to turn the water off :).

    Thank you!

Hopefully this will be the last FTS with stock bulbs. I just ordered some ATI bulbs. 2 Aquablue, 1 blue+ and 1 Purple+. Next FTS should be with the new bulbs ;D.

I have been target feeding the hidden cup corals. They are less transparent and growing.
