12g nano DX for hospital tank. I have 4 fish(powder blue, coral beauty, two clowns) all under 2 1/2 inchs long, been treating them with cupermine for the ICH. I have taken out the charcol and other white bag and just running it with the media filter to get some of the junk.

for the last past 4 days the tank went cloudy no matter how much water i change. All the fish look like the ich is gone so i put them back in to my display last night.

question is what happened to the nano? why would it get cloudy like that and never correct itself.

lights on from 10am to 8:30pm feeding every other day some miysis or flake scooping out left overs.

all leavels are on the money. Running salinity at 1.008 for ich treatmeant. Powder blue is acting fine.

I just finished going through the same senario with my system. I have a 29G I've been using for the hospital. The fish have been in there for 4 weeks with meds. I started last week doing the water changes with no added meds. After a week the water is still a light cloudy green. My suspicion is that the copper will never really clear out of the water. Since it's a hospital tank, once all the fish are back in the display, it will be emptied and cleaned for the next new occupant! :)

It would get cloudy because there really is no filtration, right?

No skimmer, no carbon, no live rock, and lots of fish waste :p

Green water is algae blooming usually.

Lots of 50% + water changes. When I run QT tank, I do a 50% water change every other day. :-/

You're right BL, I should have said yellow/green and very light. As I did more water changes, the tint did go away. Sorry to confuse.
