i added about 10lbs of live rock really probably about 7lbs but i'll say 10lbs to seed about 130 give or take 5 or so pounds of dry rock. the 10 lbs of live rock was added about a month and a half ago. nothing else has changed. my ph was at 7.8 the other day but got it up to 8.2 by running an air tube from outside to my skimmer. i have been home from work about 3 hours now and the water seems a little clearer but still cloudy.

Had the same problem last week seems like it's a algea bloom. How old are you lights? Once I changed out my new bulbs and did a water change tank looked back to normal. My levels were also all at zero. Let me know if that helps.

my bulbs are about 2 months old. accually probably newer than that because i broke a couple of bulbs and had to replace them and it was cheaper to buy a whole set than to buy 2 bulbs. plus i thought just to be safe i replaced them all. my guess is it is an algea bloom but really dont see much algea. i never had this problem with my old tank. go figure when you cut corners you never have any problems but when you try to do everything 100% correct you start running into problems.lol

How many hours do you run your lights on? My cloudy tank lasted under a week.

Are you running a protein skimmer right now? it could be micro bubbles in the water. Power head sucking air? if you are unplug it or them and see if it clears up.

is the tank near a window? sounds like it might be if your able to run airline from outside into you skimmer

is it possible that more natural light is hitting the tank or has started hitting the tank due to time of year?

actually i had to run a 20 ft air tube to get to the window. plus the window doesnt get direct sun light and the blinds stay closed.
