Ok past week or so my water has looked cloudy. I am getting some green film on the glass but I clean it every day. I run my lights for about 12 hours on I have a 24g nano. I just cleaned my filters. I have not changed my carbon bag yet should I? have not changed it in 3 months due to cycle. I only have a damsel, clown, and toadstool.

First, I would change the carbon and see what happens. Are you using tap water or do you use RO/DI?

RO/DI. I will run out and grab a new bag tomorrow. Is there any particular kind i should get? That is all I have in there is the carbon and the sponge filters and my LR/LS. I don't use the bio balls or ceramic things.

Get what ever they have. Some brands do offer more absorbtion than others, but I don't think it's that big of a difference.

What do you mean? I have not picked up the new carbon yet. Will have to wait till tomorrow no LFS is open.

You can get decent carbon at petsmart or petco, thats where I get mine. Will probably save you some too.
Just as a note, carbon and sponge filters should be changed out every 2-4 weeks depending on the load in your system. Try to figure out a set schedule, and you'll notice a huge difference in your water clarity.

Thanks Packleader. I wanted to wait till my cycle was finished before I changed anything. Guess it's time.
