Mostly due to bubbles? What else do you think is causing your cloudy water?

The only things that I know to cause cloudy water are calcium precipitation and bacteria blooms. If it was calcium precip., you would have white powder coating everything or may have noticed what looked like snow falling in your tank. If it's being caused by a bacteria bloom, running carbon may help but I don't think it will help if it's being caused solely because of micro bubbles.

I run carbon 24/7 so adding it to your system will do nothing but good, in my opinion. Have the micro bubbles always been there or is this something that developed recently?

those little bubbles are micro bubbles. You can add a bubble trap in your sump or add a bubble sponge

you will have to make a bubble trap in the sump. Or you can make a holder for the sponge, but the water has to pass through the sponge to get it to work.
