i remember reading a thread about someones clown sinking sideways to the ground and then flipping around and swiming back up, and repeating the process. My clown is doin the same thing now! all tests are good. maybe hes just getting stressed from constant bullying? the other male clown is always in his face. My nano is still cycling so i cant seperate him yet. any ideas?

I am just a beginner so please take this information with a shaker of salt. The behavior you mention may be courting behavior. I have watched my clowns and both display this type behavior as well as others and they have begun to display agression toward other fish that enter their little area. Look for other signs that may give you clues.

True. The female would be the larger of the two fish. (well, at least the one turning into a female).

She will go aggressively after the male , the normal male behavior is to turn sideways and sort of shudder. This is sortof his way of saying, "OK! You are in charge and I submit!" ;) ;D

Is this what is going on with your pair? Do you only have two clowns?

Interesting post. My pair has been doing the same thing, I thought that the larger was just wanting to rest. Thanks for the thread Hexus!

    Hi Birdlady; everyone!!
I have been watching for sometime but still have so much to learn that I have not felt input would be proper. I saw the unanswered post and didn't notice the date; sorry for the intrusion.
