Yesterday I put my first fish in my tank (46 gal. bow). I put two clowns in at the same time. One is an orange false percula and the other a black and white percula. The orange one seems to be bullying the black & white by chasing it and maybe nipping at his tail. I'm not real sure of the nipping, but it is aggressively chasing it. Is this something I need to do anything about immediately, or just watch and see? I thought if I put them in together they would be nice. Thanks.

If the chaser is the larger of the two fish, then that would be the female showing her dominance. Mine have been in my tank for 8 months and she still does it a little. If it gets to where she is hurting the other fish they both might be females. watch them for a while. If you have two females you will want to take one back any get a much smaller clown.

They are pretty much the same size with the chaser being a little smaller if anything.

I have a percula clown and a maroon clown and Idk if they are both females but the percula nips and beats up the maroon sometimes but it doesnt hurt the maroon enough and it always recovers so I dont worry about it too much

i have friends that paired them up but they always did it with fish that were two drastically different sizes. I would watch them closely and pull one of them as soon as you see some beat up fins or else it will get stressed to death.

Yeah, they've been settling down, but the perc did get a good hold of the black and white the other day and held on for dear life. No visible harm yet.
