clown fish Being picked on

I agree with PL on the tank size. If the two larger ones have paired up, the other is just the neuter juvenile now. They are "picking on him" to establish the picking order in their group. It's really up to you if you want to leave him in the tank. Should either of the two in the pair die, the small one will take his place as "next in line."

 

they bigger clowns will eventually kill the other. I had 3 clowns living peacefully in a 36gal and after 1 year, two of them turned on the other and killed it in one day. the two that killed it arent even paired up.

 

Oops, that's right. I keep forgetting to say False. I just call them Clowns usually...LOL Btw, we did name the 3 clowns after the movie. As it turns out Coral and Marlin want some privacy...haha

 

In my case, it looks like the 2 big ones paired, but I did see them take shots at the little individually. I sent the little guy back to the pet store;-( Now I only have 4 fish....sniffles. Thanks for the input everone;-)

 

jeep, you did the right thing. You would be more upset if the others killed the one. Just find another fish you really like to put in your tank. I love my sleeping goby. he is really entertaining.
