I agree with Jason, but if the fish seems sluggish, or if other symptoms appear (ragged fins, spots, loss of balance) get it out of the tank into quarantine, ASAP.
Like My2HeartBoys, the first thing I thought of was ich. But hey, it could be love!

Well, for the record, she seems perfectly normal today. I also thought of the mating thing at first and the fighting a reflection thing. Not sure about either of them. She doesn't have any visible physical problems or indications of anything, looks like she has for the past year and a half. I'll keep an eye on her for the next few days and see if I notice anything. Thanks for all the input!

I had a theory as she started up again for a couple days... Our Christmas tree is in the same room and she seems to lose it whenever the lights are on. Could this be it?

she is probably hinting that she does not see a present for her under the tree! lol

has she only started to do it since the tree was in there, and does it happen when the lights on the tree are on? i only ask because my damsel croaks alot and has a hissy fit when i have friends over...obviously has better taste in people than i do!

i hope it is something as simple as this and not an infection or the ilk, but keep an eye on her and let us know how things are progressing

So, did your clown make it through Christmas OK?
Was it the lights that were making her crazy?
Looking back in my log, my clown acted "spastic" for about 5 days and then went back to normal. I never did find out what that was all about.
