clown fish male or female.

    fast question.


    i have two clown fish, one is much smaller then the other but that could be from age.

    how do you tell if they are male or female b/c i have no idea what i have. i hope i have a female and a male.


    idk if this helps but sometimes i see them tougher and one will swim around the other and then the other one like twitches a little.

    The biggest of the two is female.

    how do you know this. i mean what if they are just different ages.
    btw i did buy them in the same tank at the same time.

    but one could be from a older shipment.

    The biggest is always the female. All clowns are born male and the dominant one turns female. Age doesn't really matter, if so that clowns might already be female and the male accepted it.
